Fire Resistant Fabric

Throughout Canada, workers in a wide range of industrial settings are exposed to thermal hazards on a daily basis. When clothing catches on fire, the inability of conventional materials to self extinguish frequently results in extensive and severe burns to the body ... (too) often with fatal consequences. However, while non-flammable fabrics are specifically engineered to self-extinguish, a surprising number will still melt/drip during combustion, causing profound injury to the wearer.

CXP™ Nomex® by Milliken® will do neither. A trusted name in the North American market for over 40 years, Dupont™ NOMEX® yarns, in combination with Milliken's CXP and VISA® finishes, offer the wearer a SAFE, comfortable, dry and easy care alternative to today's heavier, non-breathable fire resistant fabrics ... while at the same time providing the highest safety rating of all 'FR' fabrications in its class. (Available on a cut-to-order basis only.)

SAFETY and comfort are also the 'trademarks' of INDURA® ULTRASOFT®, by Westex , another leading 'FR' fabrication that will not melt/drip when exposed to heat or flame. Carrying a rating that exceeds all North American regulatory standards for arc flash protection, garments produced from Indura® Ultasoft® are particularly favoured by workers in the electrical field who have historically been required to wear much heavier and less comfortable flame resistant garments to ensure their safety in the workplace. (Available in-stock.)

Flame resistant apparel from Gateway International ... putting SAFETY first.
